If a link did not work, the message you saw tells you which of four very different things went wrong. Find yours below — each has its own causes and its own fix.
Start with the message you saw
“Paste a valid public video link…” — the link never reached our server because it did not match a supported pattern. Unsupported video link →
“This link did not contain a downloadable public video.” — the link was fine, but no public video was found at it. No downloadable media found →
“The download service is temporarily unavailable” or “took too long” — a temporary problem on our side, not with your link. Download failed →
The file saved, but it plays silently — usually the source itself, or a codec quirk on older devices. Video has no audio →
