Three steps
Paste. Prepare. Download.
The browser interface stays simple while link validation and media preparation happen on protected server infrastructure.
From paste to download
- Paste a supported link
Simple Video Downloader checks the hostname and URL pattern before anything is sent for processing. Unsupported domains are rejected immediately.
- Prepare an available file
A server-side request asks the private processing service for eligible source media. The API key stays off your device, and the service does not request a platform password.
- Open the download
When the source returns an eligible file, Simple Video Downloader shows one clear download button—or a short list when a post contains multiple videos.
What happens to the link?
Simple Video Downloader does not create a personal download history. The link is processed for the request, while hosting and security providers may retain limited operational logs as described in the privacy policy.
Why some links fail
Common reasons include a private or deleted post, a source restriction, an unsupported media type, a platform change, rate limiting, or a temporary service outage. The status page reports whether the processing service is reachable.
If you saw a particular message, the help pages explain what that one means and what to try next: Unsupported video link, No downloadable media found, Download failed or timed out, and Downloaded video has no audio.
